Intertwined with his journey through life, music has been a constant for K CAP. His productions focus on techno (leftfield groove/hypnotic), but often wander to incorporate his vast influences and curiosities.
Starting as an open-format DJ outside Boston at the age of 16, K CAP’s college years in DC quickly found him playing SXSW 2014, opening for Chance the Rapper, and fostering several residencies in the District.
These years exposed him to the burgeoning underground techno scene, and he was quickly entranced by the music radiating from parties like ROAM and SEQUENCE.
Before moving to New York in 2019, K CAP ended his time in DC as the Marketing Coordinator for U Street Music Hall.
Since then, K CAP has shifted his focus inward, both musically and personally. This chapter of reflection has led to a symbiotic confluence of his productions and DJ/live sets.
